These discs are cut from 14/40 Double Clad Gold Filled Sheet.
What is 14/40 14K Double Clad Gold Filled Sheet?
Double Clad gold filled has a core sheet of #230 brass with layers of 14K gold on both face areas.
These three sheets of sandwiched layers are bonded (clad) together with heat and tremendous pressure.
The discs are then cut from the gold filled sheets. 1/20, (1/40 each face) or 5% of the total weight is 14K Gold.
The boarder waste scrap is then re-refined to recover its gold. We will buy back your gold filled scrap!
 The precious metal layers are very thin so care must be taken not to burn or polish through them!

These discs, washers and tags are die cut from clean, smooth gold filled sheet.
Some of the images have been digitally textured in PhotoShop to mute reflections.
