Tips for bezel setting pointed stones, including squares:
Use fine silver and never place the soldered seam at the point(s).
Do not deep set the cab and it will help to top file some slope towards the point(s) to match the cab's shape.
It is better to try and thin the pointed area and lay it down evenly than allow the bezel's sides to fold.
Grind some of the sharpness off the cab's points to lessen difficulty, if necessary. Avoid gaps.
If you do slope file and/or thin the bezel walls make sure you have some flatness on the
bezel point's top edge as this will render a cleaner bezel edge after it is burnished and/or hammered down.
